What Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences Does: With a 99% graduation rate and above-average TCAP and ACT scores in 2009, Art + Science = Achievement at Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences. CSAS is a K-12 magnet school of choice. The school follows the principles of The Paideia Proposal, which celebrates the fundamental notion that to be fully educated is a lifelong adventure that only begins with an individual's formal schooling.

How Papercut Helps: Papercut analyzed school resources to create a sustainable site that will communicate vital, current information to students, parents, and the community. Each element of the design was developed with careful consideration of the end user. News, announcements, and calendars are all simple to update using Simon, Papercut’s intuitive content management system.

Results:

• Parents and students can access daily updates online. Over time, the school anticipates that this will reduce paper consumption and costs related to phone reminder services.
• Community members can learn full details of admissions policies via the web, so valuable staff time will be saved answering questions.
