That’s right… The Northshore Merchants Collective is sponsoring the second annual North Pole on the Northshore holiday window decorating contest. Participating merchants are decorating their store windows with a Holidays Around the World theme, and they’re competing to see which one is the best.
Like last year, all of the registration fees are being donated to the Northside Neighborhood House, a local organization that provides education and direct assistance to residents of North Chattanooga, Red Bank, Hixson, and Soddy Daisy.
We hope you’ll come out to see the windows and help us choose the winner by voting for your favorite. Plus, the contest is running in conjunction with the Northshore Merchants Collective’s holiday open house, so you can check out the special deals and events at some of your favorite area stores!
Here are all the details:
You, of course! We’ll need your help with the public vote. Here’s how you can submit your choice:
Each merchant will have a contest flier with a QR code in their window. Scan the code on the flier or visit www.northpoleonthenorthshore.com and click “Vote” to select the window you like best.
We’re also doing “official” judging. This year’s panel includes:
- Rachel Gammon, Executive Director of the Northside Neighborhood House
- Bruce Weiss, Owner of River Street Deli
- Ashley Frasier, Art Director at Papercut Interactive
- Elliott Hill, Kid Artist
We’ll be presenting three awards: Public Favorite, Best Window and Kid Favorite. Each winner will get a custom-made ribbon from Papercut Interactive, and they’re pretty awesome. See this pic from last year for proof:
Voting begins TOMORROW, Friday, November 21 and runs through midnight on Sunday, November 23. Awards will be presented on Monday, November 24. We’ll post them here on our blog and on the event website, so check back for updates!
Here are this year’s participating businesses:
- Blue Skies
- Frankie and Julian’s
- Homegrown Silver and Stone
- Merch Northshore
- Papercut Interactive
Because Christmas time is (almost) here, and we want to make this holiday season a merry one for those in need. So, please come out this weekend to support local businesses and spread some holiday cheer!
If you would like to donate to the Northside Neighborhood House this holiday season, you can do that here.
