Make A Mark Chattanooga: Bringing Design to Local Nonprofits

Calling all creative types: designers, developers, illustrators, and photographers!

Make A Mark is a 12-hour create-a-thon that helps produce branding and messaging for area nonprofits. They are collaborating with Causeway to build platforms for social change here in Chattanooga.

In 2015, Make a Mark director, Sarah Obenauer, saw the need to bridge humanitarian/nonprofit organizations and the creative community in Roanoke/Blacksburg, VA. Three annual events later (and with the help of hundreds of volunteers), they have completed 45 projects. According to Sarah:

The goal of Make a Mark is to give deserving nonprofits something that could push their programs forward. By working together, we can create real impact for important causes.

Join the Huddle

Right now, Make a Mark is still in the planning phase for its Chattanooga event. They’re hosting a huddle to finalize details on April 12 at 6pm in The Edney’s Floor Five space. This event is an open forum to discuss how to expand Make a Mark’s reach in Chattanooga.

Come help myself and other area designers set Mark a Mark in motion. It all starts by making the first mark.
